What Is an Adaptive Tricycle?
An adaptive tricycle is a three-wheeled cycle designed to provide additional stability, support, and customization for riders who may have difficulty using a traditional bicycle or tricycle.
Unlike a standard tricycle, an adaptive tricycle can be configured to accommodate a rider's individual needs. Depending on the model and accessories selected, an Amtryke can include features such as adjustable seating, foot supports, hand propulsion, trunk support, positioning accessories, and other adaptations.
The goal isn't simply to make a tricycle easier to ride. It's to create a riding experience that works for the individual rider.
Amtryke adaptive tricycles are available in several configurations, including upright foot-powered, hand-and-foot, recumbent foot-powered, and hand-powered models.
Who Can Use an Adaptive Tricycle?
